 I’m a self-taught decorator with a can-do attitude and a God-given gift for creating beauty in the home.

As young newlyweds, my husband Lindsay and I built our very first home and I was completely overwhelmed and in over my head with all of the decisions that had to be made. Let’s just say I was completely clueless about how one decision affected all of the other decisions and how to create flow from one space to the next. Thankfully, I honed my design skills and Lindsay honed his home improvement skills and over the years we turned that first house into a home we were truly proud of.

Fast forward 20 years and we came to Chattanooga to buy, restore, and sell historic homes in the downtown neighborhoods. Talk about an education! We gutted those run-down Craftsman and Victorian relics and rebuilt them from the foundation to the rooftop, saving as much historic detail as possible while modernizing the floor plans for how we live today. I think the time we spent restoring historic homes reaffirmed our love of old things and gave us a healthy respect for the beauty of classic design elements. And it really opened our eyes to what can be accomplished with the trifecta of great design, quality materials and skilled craftsmanship. Our renovated houses usually sold before completion, and we won awards and local recognition for our design and restoration work.
